In Norwich

A location to visit to learn, create and be inspired. That’s what we have here at St Martin’s on Oak.. a Medieval Church where students of all ages and abilities join to make music across a range of disciplines.

When we took on this building in 2012, it was a sorry looking, shell of a building. Previously an art studio (and prior to that a homeless shelter) the building felt cold and neglected. Our renovation included removing a shower block from the nave and replacing it with two purpose built, sound proofed teaching rooms. Alongside the Norwich Historic Churches Trust (our very supportive landlords!) we were also able to install new toilets and create an office space in the Chapel area of the building. Add to that general maintenance, repairs and decoration and we finally started to feel as if the Church was ready for visitors again. Although not walking through the doors to worship, a whole new stream of visitors started flooding the space eager to learn and create music within the walls. Our Norwich HQ was born.

We currently provide a mix of tutors that work for The Wharf, plus visiting teachers that manage their own student base and hire a space with us at The Wharf. Tuition at our Norwich HQ is currently available in these disciplines –
